Community Outreach – Midnight Ukulele Society's Non Profit Organization

Members of the Midnight Ukulele Society (MUS) operate a 501(c)(3) non profit (River City Ukulele Society Inc., EIN: 81-2936490)  with a mission to promote the ukulele in conducting ukulele related community events, educational activities, and charitable donations of instruments for the Central Virginia community. 

So far, members of MUS and non the profit have donated their time and worked with donations received to perform the following community activities:

• Organizing and conducting an annual ukulele festival with the theme for VA, by VA.  More information about this festival, called Virginia Ukapalooza, can be found at: https://VirginiaUkapalooza.com.

• Purchasing/working with instrument manufacturers to obtain a set of ukuleles for Richmond, VA, area schools to supplement their existing school music curriculum.

• Restringing and maintaining ukuleles at Richmond, VA, area schools.

• Teaching free group ukulele classes at Richmond, VA, area schools.
